Staff Training and Development
As care providers we recognises that to provide a quality service the Company needs to ensure their staff teams are well trained.
All our employees will complete a comprehensive induction programme that meets the requirements of skills for care, and undertake mandatory training to include:
- Fire Awareness
- Health and Safety Awareness
- Manual Handling
- Food Hygiene
- First Aid
- Safeguarding Adults
- Medication Administration
- Mental Capacity Act
- Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression
- Equality and Diversity
- Risk Management
In addition to the above, specialised training will also be provided specific to service user needs, for example:
- Understanding Autism/Autistic Spectrum Disorders
- Epilepsy
- Mental Health Awareness
- Working with challenging behaviour
(Any specific condition or service user need that is identified will be included in the Company's training plan.)
All support workers will be trained to NVQ 2 standard
Senior support workers will be trained to NVQ 3 standard
All registered managers will be trained to NVQ level 4 in management and have completed or be in the process of completed the Registered Managers Award.
